Dr. Deepankar Bhattacharya is a renowned and highly experienced Hemato-oncologist and pediatric oncologist. Considered as one of the leading hemato-oncologists in the city of Nawabs, he is currently associated with Medanta Hospital, a premier hospital in Lucknow. He is whole heartedly dedicated towards patient care and is known for patient centric and result oriented treatments among his field of expertise. He has carved a niche for himself in the field of Hemato –oncology and pediatric oncology . His constant endeavour is to improve upon blood cancer treatment facilities in the country and bring them at par with the developed nations. Dr. Deepankar began his academic journey with MBBS from King George’s Medical University, Lucknow followed by MD in Pediatrics from GSVM Medical College, Kanpur. It will not be out of place to mention here that he was decorated with a gold medal for his meritorious performance in his post graduation exams .
However, his unending quest for professional excellence led him to pursue Super specialization (FNB) in Hemato-oncology from Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, New Delhi. He also obtained FIAP degree in pediatric oncology while pursuing his FNB from Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, New Delhi.
Before joining Medanta Hospital, Dr. Deepankar has served prestigious organizations like Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, New Delhi, King George’s Medical College, Lucknow and B.L Kapur Super Specialty Hospital, New Delhi. He completed fellowship in Bone Marrow Transplant from B.L Kapur Super Specialty Hospital, New Delhi wherein he acquired hands on training experience in treating patients with benign and malignant hematological disorders.
During the past decade, he has been involved in various research projects in the area of hemato-oncology, and has published papers in national and international journals of repute. He has also played a pivotal role in various educational forums and organized camps to apprise general public of Pediatric cancer.
